When Rain Falls Shawl Knitting Pattern - Digital Download
When Rain Falls evokes feelings of spring, with the smell of rain in the air and plants sprouting.
Pick colors in the same family for a “fade” effect, or use contrasting yarns for bold stripes! This shawl can be knit in either fingering or sport weight. Want the same yarn used in the sample? Grab a kit here!
In an effort to both reflect the efforts that go into designing knitwear and increasing accessibility to patterns for all audiences, I am offering a full price tier and a discounted tier for those who need more accessible pricing.
There is some “padding” factored into the yardage, so you can use fingering weight skeins with 380+ yards per skein if you’re careful about getting gauge.
Personal Note: I used 330 yards of Color A and 360 yards of Color B, so you should have plenty of yarn with 400 yard skeins if you check your gauge (for real, check your gauge :) )
Yarn: 400 yards each of 2 colors of fingering weight yarn
Gauge: 24 stitches and 48 rows = 4 inches in garter stitch before blocking
Needles: 32" or 40" US6 circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
