Fly Away Baby Blanket Printed Pattern

Fly Away by Tin Can Knits | No matter how tiny they are now, one day they will grow up and fly away!  Inspired by flying geese quilt motifs, this modern geometric blankie is perfect for a new addition or a grown baby flying off to college. 

Gauge: 19 sts & 40 rows / 4” in garter stitch

Finished Measurements: Blocks are 7.5” square, and the border is 0.75” wide. The size is adjustable, and the 16-square blanket shown measures 31.5” square. 

Materials Used: DK weight yarn in MC and several CCs per square: MC: 60 yds, CC: 20 yds for 16 squares: MC: 960 yds, CCs: 320 yds total plus 150 yds total edging (sample uses 2 colours) 

Needle Size: US#7 / 4.5mm needles (or as req’d to meet gauge) straight or circular needles for blocks, 1-2 long circular needles req’d for edging
